AI WEB

This website serves as a guide to information that addresses the issue of Artificial Intelligence from various perspectives. Here, you will find recommendations for students and teachers at the university, links to lectures, courses, and other events on the topic, along with examples of relevant research at UWB, and more.

The online course Generative AI in Administrative Practice is now available for employees of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Thanks to this course, you will increase your efficiency, with the help of tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or Gemini. You will learn to generate texts, manage emails, create presentations, and translate – all using artificial intelligence and Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace tools.

Students of the Faculty of Pedagogy have created an online course entitled Using AI in the Preparation of a Dissertation as an aid for other students of UWB. However, it can also be useful for university employees. It is designed to show you how artificial intelligence can simplify and streamline the individual stages of preparing a dissertation – from research, through structuring, to feedback, and data processing. AI is becoming a valuable assistant for students and researchers who want to work faster, more creatively, and with access to a wider range of resources.

The courses are self-study in LMS Moodle. You will get access to the study materials immediately after logging in.

The University of West Bohemia in Pilsen is involved in the activities of an informal working group co-ordinated by Charles University and prg.ai, within which recommendations for the use of artificial intelligence at universities were created in a broad discussion among experts. The University of West Bohemia in Pilsen endorses the materials that were created within the group, and recommends that students and teachers familiarize themselves with these materials. You can find further information on this website.

A sub-working group, consisting of Jana Šindlerová (Charles University), Hana Ovesleová (Charles University), and Lucie Rohlíková (University of West Bohemia in Pilsen), has also prepared specific ideas for teachers on how to use AI as one of the available technologies in education. The ideas are structured according to the digital competences of teachers that are needed for individual activities using technology in education.
